Denis has an Associate Diploma of Engineering Metallurgy. He has worked several years in manufacturing, involved in melting and casting a variety of Fe, Ni, Co, Cu, Al, and Cr based alloys to strict quality standards. He was employed as Shift Metallurgist for Western Australian Specialty Alloys for 4 years where he supervised the manufacture of high temperature application alloys for the Aerospace industry. He worked 3 years for VEEM Engineering as Melt Metallurgist where he supervised the melting and casting of a wide range of alloys for the Mining/Processing & Marine industries. The last 4 years of his career he has gained experience directly in the mining industry working for Placerdome(now known as Barrick) Grannysmith Gold mine as a Metallurgical/Process Technician involved in a wide range of metallurgical test work and process control functions. His last 2 years has been involved in iron ore processing where he was employed by Portman Iron Ore as Operations Scheduler who was responsible for the processing and quality of iron ore product from Rom pad through to ship. He is currently employed by API Management as Process Engineer involved in Product Development feasibility studies.
