Ray has over 30 years legal experience as a barrister and solicitor, including over 20 years in senior in-house roles in the resources industry. He also has over 10 years experience as a commercial partner in private practice advising on a wide range of commercial matters. His resources experience includes the management of the legal function for Hamersley Iron’s Pilbara operations in the role of Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary of the Hamersley Holdings Group of Companies and more recently as part of a small management team, the negotiation and finalisation of the Hope Downs Joint Venture between Rio and Hancock Prospecting.
