Aquila’s substantial portfolio of coal, iron ore and other minerals projects provides an opportunity for a creative thinker to develop and execute strategies to leverage Aquila’s position within the growth regions of the Bowen Basin in Queensland and the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The successful candidate will be capable of identifying opportunities, initiating contacts and ultimately, negotiating agreements with those parties and reporting to the Executive Chairman.
Based in Perth, the Business Development Manager will be required to travel as necessary in respect of Aquila’s Australian project portfolio.

Senior Exploration Geologist - Brisbane

A senior geologist is required to assist the Manager Exploration in the demands of managing a large portfolio of coal tenements.  The Senior Exploration Geologist will assist the Exploration Manager in developing strategies to develop viable coal targets and assist in testing these targets through exploration. Based in Brisbane, but with a component of field travel, the successful candidate will oversee and plan safe coal exploration activities within strict budgets and assist with the preparation of JORC compliant resource statements, prepare work scopes for exploration programmes and oversee a range of contractors.
There will be a requirement to review and input data, create and assess geological models and prepare reports to assist with EPC requirements.

Occupational Health and Safety Manager

Aquila is seeking an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive corporate health and safety system across its substantial portfolio of coal, iron ore and other mineral projects.  Based in Perth the successful applicant will have relevant experience at a corporate level, and have proven experience promoting a culture of OHS vigilance, accountability, ownership, awareness and leadership.  The OH&S Manager will be required to travel as necessary to support Aquila's diverse portfolio:

• in developing specific OHS initiatives, policies and procedures: and
• in order to deliver consistently above average performance in the areas of workplace health and safety.

This role reports to the Executive Chairman and is the key point for OHS advice across the business.
